The Merry Month Of May

Well, I have fallen off the clean house band wagon. These last 2 weeks have been full. I had a lot of fun sewing 4 skirts for high school girls. They are doing a can can type tap dance number in the dance recital. I bought a 2nd hand serger. I love it!!! I couldn't have made the skirts with out it. Each skirt had 100 ft of fabric to gather to make 3 rows of ruffles on the underside of the skirt. They are black with hot pink ruffles. They turned out great! The first weekend of the dance recital is over. I danced well. I quite enjoy Highland dancing. It is a challenge that I love at this time of my life. I attended the Community choir concert and was asked if I would give up dancing to join them again singing. Nope. Not a chance. I do miss singing but I really love to dance!

Hyrum loves to fish! He went out with Tom and Marilyn. They caught 50 crabs. But kept 12. He also caught a rock cod. Marilyn took pictures of him out there on the water. He looks so happy. Happy like I feel when I dance!
Dexter loves playing soccer. He has one of the best coaches in town. He has had a few warnings for his aggressive behavior. ("Just about every game, actually", he says) He prefers right D (defense). The coach likes his enthusiasm for the game! I think we played 13 or 14 soccer games one weekend in April for a tournament. PHEW!

Alick, Carter and Drew have interests in things but nothing that really catches their attention unless it is technology related at the moment from games to movies to music. With the good weather comes a variety of things that occupy our time. Too numerous to mention this time but for now life plods along at a steady pace with me a little behind the chore work but happy to have a healthy family that laughs and teases each other.
