HAPPY SpRiNG!

Today was such a wonderful day to celebrate the beginning of a new
season! The skies are clear the sun is shining and the temp is warm.
I even took off my shoes and socks and had a short sleeve shirt on!
Today was a productive day that started off with a bike ride
and then since my legs were all pumped up I went for a walk and then
stretched when I came home. It felt awesome to be out in the fresh air
listening to the birds and seeing the clear sky with the mountain
range in the distance. :0D When I came home I straightened the front
entrance area and sorted out a few things, ran the dishwasher, put the
dishes away, started laundry and by the end of the afternoon completed
5 loads. We got our dryer fixed last week and it is a treat to dry
clothes again now that the clothes dry in under an hour! Alick and I
made some healthy cookies. We doubled the batch. I made salmon curry
salad for dinner and cleaned up all the dishes. THe dishwasher will
run one more time today. Dh built a loft bed for us last week and we
spring cleaned the boys' rooms. Afterschool I became the drill sargent
and saw to it that they cleaned them up. Then I went back for an
inspection. Hyrum and Alick share a room and they passed the
inspection. Unfortunately Carter and Dexter didn't. So now that dinner is
over they have a job to do instead of heading outside to enjoy the
beautiful first day of spring a little longer. I think we will take a
family walk this evening! I hope you had a happy first day of spring.
Love and Hugs to you!

Roll with the Punches and more....

well what can I say, roll with the punches folks for other wise we
would be in tears over things we can't control. I am home when I
thought I would be on the road to Victoria for a gymnastics
competition. A combination of illness and snow has kept Carter from going
to the competition. I was relieved and surprised with his attitide
about the whole thing. He is 14 and sure growing up! In many ways. ;0)
He will be taller than me soon and Sunday night he just took care of
things and put Alick to bed without being asked.

I found this quote I thought I would share. It says alot of how I feel at this
time of life....

"Don't worry about searching for who you are; focus your energies on
creating the kind of person you want to be! You will discover that as
you pursue that journey you will not only find yourself but chances
are you will be suprised and proud of the person you find along the
way."-Joseph Wirthlin-

3 things for Thursday
1.pack the 2 boys that are going to Vancouver Zoo for a cub camp
activity tomorrow.
2.Insure the "NEW VAN!"
3. Mother goose and library-pick up the school lib book that I
accidentally put in the public lib bag and choose a book to read to
kindergarten for tomorrow! I love reading and singing to and with the
children! I brings such a happy smile to my face to see them say "HI
CORI" or "Good Morning Mrs. Neilson" or "THank you, Mrs. Neilson"

WHat makes you beam with happiness inside and out?

Enjoy the day you have before you!
Hugs and love to all
Cori and the boys ;0)
